A collection of values describing high-level location types in which a vessel can be situated.

B13 Location Types
  • 1 At anchor

    The vessel is at anchor

  • 2 Canal

    The vessel is in a canal.

  • 3 Caspian Sea

    The vessel is in the Caspian Sea.

  • 4 Coastal waters

    The vessel is on coastal waters (at sea but relatively close to the coast line).

  • 5 Deep sea

    The vessel is at deep sea.

  • 6 Dock

    The vessel is at a dock (stationary).

  • 7 Drydock

    The vessel is in a drydock.

  • 8 Estuary

    The vessel is within a river estuary.

  • 9 Fjord

    The vessel is on a fjord

  • 10 Floating dock

    The vessel is stationary alongside a floating dock.

  • 11 Great lakes

    The vessel is located on the great lakes (USA).

  • 12 Harbour

    The vessel is in a harbour.

  • 13 Port

    The vessel is in a port.

  • 14 Port approaches

    The vessel is in the approaches to a port.

  • 15 Restricted waters

    The vessel is in restricted waters (waters with a limited navigable width).

  • 16 River

    The vessel is located on a river.

  • 17 Shipyard

    The vessel is in a shipyard.

  • 18 Straights of

    The vessel is in the straights of a given location.

  • 19 Offshore terminal

    The vessel is stationary alongside an offshore terminal.

  • 20 Undefined

    The location type is unknown or does not match any of the previous descriptions.
