Fields within this standard can be compulsory (must be completed to meet the standard) or optional. Fields are optional if they ‘can be null’. Data can be recorded against a certification for fields not defined in this standard- the standard only defines common fields.
This data standard defines the certification and what that entails, it does not define or record what entities have been granted the certification.
A8.1 Certification name

The name of the certification- the string of characters most commonly used to identify the certification.
A8.2 Certification type

The value in the dictionary which best describes the type of entity to which the certification can be awarded.
A8.3 Certification description

This is a description of what the certification means and entails. This can include conditions an entity must meet to attain the certification and benefits of gaining the certification.
A8.4 Certifying organisation
LOOKUP / STRING A2: Organisation
This is the most unique identifier available for the organisation that awards the certification (certifies entities). This can be a look up to a dataset corresponding with data standard “A2 Organisation” or a string containing an identifier for the organisation (Intenal ID).
A8.5 Certification validity period

This value represents the maximum number of days for which a certification can be valid after it is awarded.
A8.6 Additional Particulars Attributes

A table recording data about the certification that does not allign with other fields in the schema. This data can be very generic and is recorded in a table with two fields as defined below.
