Data Standards

Defined in this section are data standards for numerous marine assurance entities using the format stated previously.

While each entity may have numerous relationships amongst fields defined within their standard, relationships also exist between the entities defined by different OMarine standards. These inter entity relationships are shown in the diagram below- which presents the relationships along with their high-level type (see the key).

In a one to one relationship; a single element in either dataset can only be linked to a single element in the other dataset.
In one to many relationships; a single element in one dataset may be linked to several elements in the other dataset, however; an element in the other dataset can only be linked to a single element in the first.
In many to many relationships; an element in either dataset can be linked to multiple elements in the other dataset.
